AntiGravity Yoga

Sometimes called suspension or aerial yoga, AntiGravity Yoga was developed by a former aerial acrobat and gymnast who found traditional yoga too hard on his injured wrists. The weightless poses are great for stretching tight muscles, working the core muscles, as well as relieving stress and aching joints. SmartToes Toe Stretchers also work to relieve stress to aching joints and yoga toes. SmartToes also provide relief for hammer toe and plantar fasciitis treatment. AntiGravity Yoga adapts the poses of traditional yoga for a large silk hammock raised off the ground. Great for thrill-seekers, bored yogis and anyone looking for something new.

Gargling With Salt Water. It's Not Just For Laughs.

A sore, itchy throat and respiratory congestion are some of the more common symptoms of a cold, and gargling with salt water seems to help. Dr. Philip T. Hagen, editor in chief of the “Mayo Clinic Book of Home Remedies,” points out that gargling loosens thick mucus, which can remove irritants like allergens, bacteria and fungi from the throat. A saline solution can draw excess fluid from inflamed tissues in the throat, making them hurt less. FlaxVibrance with Flax Hull Lignans and Milled Chia Seeds are also a super immune booster and a great source of antioxidants.

Don't Forget Your Omega 3's.

Although the body readily makes most of the fat that it needs from dietary starch or sugar, humans lack the ability to make essential fatty acids (EFAs) and must get them from food or dietary supplements.

Some indications of an EFA deficiency are dry skin, the presence of tiny rough bumps, usually on the back of the arms, dry hair, dandruff, or brittle nails. There has been a systematic depletion of omega 3 EFAs from the typical modern diet because of changes in food choices and in techniques of food processing. Some studies have traced the origins of numerous different diseases to a depletion of Omega-3 EFAs. FlaxVibrance with Flax Hull Lignans and Milled Chia Seeds as well as green leafy vegetables and fish oils are great sources of Omega 3's.

Take A Walk. Really.

Great Article in the Times about exercise. A recent meta-analysis of studies about exercise and mortality showed that, in general, a sedentary person’s risk of dying prematurely from any cause plummeted by nearly 20 percent if he or she began brisk walking (or the equivalent) for 30 minutes five times a week. If he or she tripled that amount, for instance, to 90 minutes of exercise four or five times a week, his or her risk of premature death dropped by only another 4 percent. So the one indisputable aspect of the single best exercise is that it be sustainable. Walking has also been shown by other researchers to aid materially in weight control. Use SmartSole Exercise Insoles to burn more calories with every step and convert your footwear into toning shoes A 15-year study found that middle-aged women who walked for at least an hour a day maintained their weight over the decades. Those who didn’t gained weight.
